Cozmos Workshop is a creative design house that uses upcycled textiles to create fashion essentials. 

 

All of our items are unique and one of a kind.  No item is alike which allows each one to be specially made for you.  

 

I am Caron Slater-Kwiecinski and together with my son Kai Kwiecinski we are Cozmos Workshop.  We enjoy finding the amazing textiles and discovering the potential for them to be upcycled into something unexpected.  

 

We created Cozmos Workshop to allow us not only to be creative and share our creations but to be a place where understanding the impact of upcycling can be shared. 

 

I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa.  I am the youngest of 5 children and growing up, creativity was like air in my household.  Dad was always building something from nothing and my mom taught me to sew at a young age.  I watched her quilt, cross-stitch, make our clothes, make our costumes, pillows, toys, everything.  My mom inspired me to be creative and bring life to fabrics and textiles.  I dreamed of being a Fashion Designer.  I grew up exhausting every outlet I could to continue to learn to sew and create Fashion.  I graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Apparel Merchandising, Design & Production and eventually I made it to New York City where I continued my exploration in Fashion Industry for nearly a decade.   

 

We currently live in Ventura, California where life is more relaxed and there is an appreciation for nature surrounds us every day. 

 

There is so much beauty around us.  We look forward to creating one of a kind items with our community.
